The 2023 MATHCOUNTS West Alabama Regional Competition

It is time to register for 2022-2023 MATHCOUNTS competition series! We will have our local chapter in-person competition in Feb. 2022.
  • Date: Feb 18, 2023 (weather date: Feb 25)
  • Venue: Math and Science Education Building (MSB) at the University of Alabama.
We thank the strong support from the Division of Community Affairs and Center of Community-based Program (CCBP) at the University of Alabama. We thank Tuscaloosa City School (TCS) Superintendent’s Office for full support, recruiting schools and promoting the competitions. We appreciate the Tuscaloosa County School System (TCSS) administration to promote MATHCOUNTS competitions among its schools.

Register rules, schedule, and link

Students can participate in the 2021-2022 Competition Series as school-based competitors or non-school competitors (NSCs).
  • School-based registrations: A school can register a maximum of 1 team of 4 students and 8 individuals; these 1-12 student(s) will represent the school at the Chapter Competition. Any number of students can participate at the school level. Prior to the Chapter Competition, coaches must notify their chapter coordinator of which students will be team members and which students will compete as individuals.
  • NSC registrations: A parent/guardian will be permitted to register 1 NSC. If a parent/guardian has multiple children in their household who meet the eligibility requirements for NSCs, they must complete a separate registration and pay the registration fee for each student.
